Ronnie's (Almost) Ruined Ride

I wanted to submit what happened to me in what was suppose to be a great reason to ride (Harley-Davidson of St. Petersburg(Jims)) toy run. This took place on 12-7-08. There were over 1900 motorcycles and over 2300 total riders involved. All it took was one to make it not so great for me. An inconsiderate I hope rookie on a motorcycle.

No More Mustaches

In 1998 a friend and I rode to California on 1995 and 1996 Dyna Wide Glides. Back then I sported a nice dark brown mustache that I was quite proud of.

Roger's Tire Blowout

It was a nice day for a ride. I figured I'd go up route 90 west to 75 north. I have never been out that way, so I figured it was worth exploring. Besides, there was a racing event at Atlanta Motorsports Park that sounded good too. So I went for it.
I took my Buell Thunderbolt S3T. Placed some gear and food in the bags just in case the weather required a change, and I got hungry along the way. The day started out reasonably comfortable weather wise. Just needed a light jacket for the first couple hours. As time went on it began to get fairly hot outside temperature wise. It was only May. But by early after noon the temperature was in the eighties as I recall.
